Our first days in Europe

One week has passed since we arrived in Europe, and it has been quite exciting so far. Here are a few impressions of our first days.

We arrived in Frankfurt on July 22 and spent the first night there, mainly because we didn’t want to travel another four hours after flying for around half a day from Vietnam to Germany.

The night in the hotel was the right choice and enabled us to relax for a moment before continuing to travel to Buxtehude near Hamburg.

After spending a few days there, we headed towards Maribo, a cosy little town on the Danish island of Lolland. I arranged our wedding on July 29 on the island as the entire procedure was so much easier than in Germany.

We only needed to bring our passports and ourselves to Denmark after doing all the paperwork online beforehand (which by the way also only took one day).

The procedure was not only super fast and convenient but also means that we now have a good chance of staying together, even if this would mean living in Europe (of which I am not entirely sure if Thanh likes this).
